Dying for a Dog
The kids were dying to get directtv at home and once I got them that they were on to the next thing: a dog. It seems like no matter how many goodies I give them they always want more and I’m really worried now that I’ve spoiled them rotten throughout time and that they’re really going to pay for it when they grow up and have to live in the adult world. My daughter in particular was the one begging for the dog but now that we have it she won’t even consider getting outside and walking him! I don’t know what I have to do to make an impression on her but sometimes I wonder if we shouldn’t just take all her privileges away and then see what happens. I need to consult some of my friends who have better behaved kids but this is a really embarrassing issue to have to ask other people about so I’d like to avoid that if at all possible, you know what I mean?
