Scott MacIntyre Is Voted Off American Idol

Scott MacIntyre was voted off American Idol on April 8th. MacIntyre had the lowest voted count. Simon Cowell said “I really, really like you, Scott. I’m looking over there, and I think there’s a bunch of talented singers. This decision isn’t just based on you. It’s whether I think — or we think — someone is more talented over there. This is the problem.”

MacIntyre was joined by Lil Rounds, a 24-year-old mother of three from Memphis, Tenn., and Anoop Desai, a 22-year-old college student from Chapel Hill, N.C.

MacIntyre closed the show with a performance of “The Search is Over”.

The seven Idol contestants remaining are Adam Lambert, Desai, Rounds, Kris Allen, Danny Gokey, Matt Giraud and Allison Iraheta.

Also, there was a surprise appearance by Frankie Avalon, a classical favorite singer of the 1950s. Avalon sang “Venus.”

San Jose Earthquake

A minor earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.3 has struck east of San Jose, the Westland of California’s Bay Area, leaving many residents talking but nothing damaged.

The earthquake transpired at 10:40 a.m. today.

According to the US Geological Survey, the stats of the San Jose quake:

Doodle for Google

There is something kids can do to get recognition and Google knows exactly what it is. Today (02/03/09), Google announced their second annual Dodle 4 Gogle contest in the U.S.

Do you know what is Doodles 4 Google ? These are the special “dress-up” logos that Google runs on their homepages (Google search) for holidays and other events. According to Google’s blog, ” Doodle 4 Google is an opportunity for one child to have his/her artwork displayed on our homepage as a doodle for hundreds of millions of people to see. This year’s theme is “What I Wish for the World,” as we really want to tap into not only children’s creativity but also what they want their future to look like.”

If you feel your kid us creative enough tell him to join the contest. Let the kids creativity be shown to millions of people that uses Google search.

Registration closes at 11:59:59 PM Pacific time on March 17, 2009 and entries are due by 11:59:59 PM Pacific time on March 31, 2009. I love writing about things that are cool and beneficial to you, my readers. As I was surfing the blogosphere, I cam across a site called Upstart Blogger. The Blogger is having a cool contest. Basically, you just have to write a blog post about the blog and of course link to the blog. I like the blog, because it is a plain blog with no advertisement, I think so. But the blog makes money for the blogger. You can read more about the blog income in December on the blog.

The blog also offers free themes you can download for your blog. These free themes got the blogger into a heater argument with wordpress theme developer. The wordpress theme developer designs and sells themes. So the upstart blogger decided to customize the theme and issue it as a free theme upstart subscribers. At the time of this post, I don’t know if both parties have reconciled or there is still malice in the atmosphere.
