They released it during the Super Bowl XLIII as a commerical ad. This was thoughtful become it would get to a wider audience and create a hype for the movie.

Transformers 2has scenes taking place in the USA,  China, Egypt. This would be what I call an international action movie.

I just watched the trailer. I doubt if this is the full trailer because it is short. It is for just 30 mins. Since it was released and used as a Super bowl ad, they would have to make it short.

From the trailer, I see that the villians transformers are big and likely more vicious than the ones in Transformers 1.
