This is a blog meaning that it is hosted by a web host. In my opinion, it is better to have a hosted than a free blog. A hosted blog gives you the right to do anything you want to do on your blog. For instance, I can put a link on this site for you to download something like an ebook. With a free blog, I have to upload the file to a file sharing site and post a link to the ebook on the blog. If the file sharing site is down, I have to reupload the file to another file sharing file. This is a hassle.
If you have a web host, you would be able to back up your blog. Think of your pc. Computer experts always advice to back up your pc files for future use in case your pc is infected by virus or something else. Just like a pc, you need to back up your post in case your webhost shuts down or something happens. If you have a free blog and the blog providers closes down, all your blog post and content is gone for good. Think about this. All your hard work just vanished.
Before you get a web host, it is good to know about webhosting rating. You should not just go and register with a web host. Do a little research on the different web hosts. Also there are different CMS you can use on your site. You can use research about the web host that has wordpress web hosting or drupal web hosting.
