Mel Gibson’s Wife Files for Divorce
Mel Gibson’s wife, Robyn Gibson, has filed for divorce from the actor after 28 years of marriage. Robyn cited the reason for the divorce was due to irreconcilable differences. According to TMZ, the couples didn’t have any prenuptial agreement when they married in 1980.
Gibson is worth an estimated $900 million. Robyn is seeking spousal support, joint custody of their last child, Tom Gibson and attorney fees.
According to People magazine, the couple separated three years ago, after his DUI arrest in Malibu. This separation was amicable.
For those that who don’t know Mel Gibson, he produced and directed the blockbusters movie “The Passion of the Christ” and “Apocalypto,” which broke box-office records for foreign language films in its opening weekend in several countries.
